T. Hitchcock
Tricia Hitchcock
My name is Tricia Hitchcock and I will be teaching Grades 1 and 2 at Cornerstone this year. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Covenant College and a Master’s degree from Grand Canyon University. I love teaching “littles”. Though I have taught mostly kindergarten during my career of over 20 years, I am thrilled to be teaching first and second grades this year.
I live in Blaine with my dog, Daisy. She is a Brittany, so she is a beautiful dog and extremely sweet and loving. She also does some peculiar things, and I frequently have funny stories about her that the kids love to hear.
I am so grateful that God has brought me to CCS. To be able to teach children in an atmosphere that recognizes God as Creator and the Author of truth wherever it is found is truly a joy. I am thrilled to be in a place that sees our children as members of God’s covenant community and is truly concerned with bringing them up in the faith. I was raised in a reformed, covenant family and have come to realize how important it is to see God’s covenant relationship with His people.
Finally, I love Heidelberg Catechism Question 1 and Question 27. These two have been a great reminder to me of the Biblical truths that I belong to God because of Christ’s great sacrifice for me and that is my comfort as I live for God in this fallen world. I don’t have to fear, though, because everything that comes into my life comes through my Father’s loving hands.
