Stephen Chase

After teaching grade 3 in Langley, B.C. for 14 years, I’m now in my third year in high school here at Cornerstone. I’m a graduate of Western Washington University with an English degree (emphasis in children’s literature) and a Washington State teaching certificate. I’m currently pursuing my Master in Education degree with a specialization in educational leadership at Dordt University.

My responsibilities this year include classroom assignments ranging from grade 5 to grade 12, particularly in P.E., English, and Social Studies.

In addition, I serve as Cornerstone’s middle school athletic coordinator. I also manage the Northwest Christian Middle School League, which runs a soccer league in the fall and a basketball league in the winter for middle school students of Christian schools in Whatcom and Skagit Counties.

My wife Jes and I have five children – four boys and a girl – between the ages of 1 and 13. When I’m not busy with school, you’ll find me spending time outside with my kids – either playing sports or hiking up in the mountains.
