Math and Science Teacher (Grades 7-12)

Position Overview:
Teach mathematics and science subjects to children in 7th through 12th
grades consistently with the beliefs, creeds, and confessions of the American Reformed
Church: Develop and implement lesson plans that focus on the acquisition of the
subject matter, while exploring how it intersects with moral and Christian principles,
bringing to play the moral, spiritual, and life affirming teachings of the Bible: Lead
discussions of the course subject matter, exploring its moral implications in the context
of school’s Mission Statement and Purpose: Provide guidance to students on
course/class selection, behavioral parameters, student leadership, senior projects, and
career opportunities: Mentor elementary teaching colleagues in incorporating
mathematics, science, and computer technology into the elementary education
program: Participate in faculty activities, including staff meetings, curricula, and
professional development: Prepare written summaries of class work and year-end
reports for each student according to reporting deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Prior teaching experience in math and/or science.
- Active membership in a related church.
